Beginners’ Courses and Membership

IMG_0125_1024Frome Town Archers are happy to offer you an opportunity to try archery at a taster session.  We also provide tuition for the beginner as part of a Six Week Course.  You would receive 6 sessions with instruction and supervised practice in basic techniques. This course costs £40/adult and £30/child and includes use of club equipment.  If you wish to attend a taster session or to start a course then turn up about 10 minutes before the start of a Saturday or Sunday session and speak to one of the coaches. For children under 18, a parent or guardian must be present.  This applies to training courses and to junior membership.

On completion of the course, you have the option of joining the club.

Adult annual membership is competitively priced at £116.  This includes GNAS, region and county affiliation fees of £54. There are no additional shooting fees.IMG_0131

Junior annual membership (under 18) is just £46.50, inclusive of affiliation fees.  Family membership options are available at reduced rates.

GNAS Membership entitles you to shoot anywhere in the United Kingdom and Europe at recognised archery venues covered by GNAS or FITA (The International Archery Federation). You will also receive quarterly magazines providing lots of information, news and lists of competitions.

There are lots of opportunities for beginners of all ages.
We run courses throughout the year at weekends and also in the evenings during spring and summer. Courses take place on:
Saturdays mornings        10.00 – 12.00

Sunday afternoons          13.00 – 15.00
Courses are flexible so you can miss a session and continue later or mix attendance at different times. Saturday mornings are better for younger children. If you have already started a course but let it lapse you are welcome back to finish it off.
All courses will take place at our shooting ground  at Lower Chatley Farm, Woolverton,

Frome Town Archers also offers various family membership discounts.

Please email membership@frometownarchers.org for more details.
